MVBS presents The Peterson Brothers, Moline Viking Club

The MVBS is catching some rising stars from Austin while we still can. They’ll be opening for Kenny Wayne Shepherd on November 14th & 16th, but we can hear the band in Moline on Thursday, November 15th. The show will be at the Moline Viking Club at 6:00 P.M. Mississippi Valley Blues Society Members can join the crowd for just $10.00 with non-members paying $12.00. You can join at the door and save on this and future MVBS shows.

The Peterson Brothers combine youthful energy and modern influences with soul, funk, blues & jazz to a create a sound that is uniquely their own. Their live shows feature jam-band style improvisation. Besides Kenny Wayne Shepherd they have been opening for Gary Clark Jr., Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Buddy Guy and the late B.B. King. Past appearances include the Chicago Blues Festival and the Austin City Limits Festival.

Here’s what others say about them.

They are a couple of kids from Texas that I saw at the King Biscuit Fest about 5 to 8 years ago when they were like 11 and 13 (or 14). I think now they are 19 and 22. Career beginning to blossom, catching them on their way up.
