Meet The Press

3 piece classic/contemporary rock with 3 part harmonies and a high energy stage show. Featuring original members, Robbie Bahr, Steve Law, and John Resch

Originally formed in 1984, Meet the Press has reunited with it's original members, including founder, Robbie Bahr on lead guitar and vocals, Steve Law on drums and vocals, and John Resch on Bass and vocals.

Although the band is playing some of the songs that we played from that era, we've decided to start fresh with an almost entirely new song list. Many of the songs we've chosen are a little more edgy than the pop/rock we were known for in the 80s and 90s. We're mixing material of the 80s and 90s with currently popular music of today.

With a crisp, tight sound that only a 3 piece lineup can provide, lush 3 part harmonies, and a high energy stage show, Meet the Press is back, and dare we say, better than ever!

After returning to Davenport in 1991 Chris was a member of Mr. Whoopie which played the area for over 10 years. Then the boys of Natty Scratch, without Pat, who moved to Alaska, picked it back up and have been playing ever since. Chris ,Tommy, Rick and Steve are now joined by Richie Reeves on drums who has also played the area for the same amount of time in bands The Tailfins and Spike.

Nervous Rex

Nervous Rex - Neurotic Rock, Pop and Blues Covers and originals.

From their Facebook page: Nervous Rex was accidentally formed in June of 2004 by four rock and jazz musicians of curiously diverse backgrounds, who happened to share a passion for music and the desire to express it in its many colors. This formed the basis of a crazy experiment, and a week after formally introducing the members of the band to each other, Nervous Rex played their first gig. The experiment proved to be a success when they were invited back to play the following week.

The band took off faster than anyone would have expected. In their first year, they earned a house band gig, and played at Sturgis on the River and the Rockin’ Rib Fest. The band went their own separate ways in early 2007, after two of the members moved to Los Angeles, California. The band had a brief revival with some new members, but the band and the name were officially retired in 2008.

In 2012 Vid and Jerry revived the band, and enlisted the guitar and vocal talents of frequent collaborator, Jeff “Doc VH” VenHorst. Nervous Rex is back together, with an updated sound!

Jerry Heard - bass/vocals
Vid James - drums/synths/vocals

Old 57s

The Old 57s, the ultimate 1950s Vintage Rock band that play only the greatest songs from the first decade of Rock 'N Roll. A vast repertoire of over 900 tunes from 1954-1968 including such artists as: Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Cash, The Ventures, Johnny Brunette, Ritchie Valens, Johnny Rivers, Bill Haley, Del Vikings, Bobby Darin, Little Richard, Link Wray, Carl Perkins, Sam Cooke, Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers, Dion,
Gene Vincent, The Coasters, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many, many more.

The Old 57s not only play the #1 hits from the '50s, they've become a real rock n' roll band from the '50s. Their true to the era image stems from their use of vintage amps and guitars, a flashy upright bass, and the old style Shure 55 microphones; to their wardrobe, dialog, classic vocal effects, light show, and a very high energy performance; this band will make you think it's 1957 all over again!

So bring your dancing shoes and drinking boots, roll out the '57 Chevy, pick up your best gal, and get ready dance all night to the songs that made music history.
